Manage delegations

Overview

This guide explains how a manager can delegate their own duties in Rasp to another user (a proxy) for a period of time. Delegation is configured on the manager's employee record, and applies to the responsibilities they hold for their direct reports.

Add a Delegation

2. Click "Delegations"

3. Click "Add"

4. Type the name of the user you want to delegate duties to into the "Delegate to" search box and select them from the results.

info

Delegate to is the user who will act as a proxy for the selected duties below.

This delegation is created on the manager's profile, not on each employee profile.

5. Select the duties you wish to delegate. These can be "Supervisor Duties", "Leave Manager Duties", or both.

info

Delegated Duties control which manager responsibilities the proxy can perform on behalf of the manager.

Supervisor Duties Approve timecards and expense claims, and manage employee records for employees the manager supervises.

Leave Manager Duties Approve leave requests, and submit leave requests on behalf of employees the manager manages.

These duties are delegated from the manager to the proxy. They are not assigned individually on each employee record.

7. Click on the calendar icon next to To field to set the date the delegation will end.
